Use EIRIS for:
EIRIS features:
Alarming
Use EIRIS to monitor Dry Contact Inputs,
Proximity tags, Wireless RFID Transmitters or just about any
type of security
sensor.
Tell EIRIS what to watch for and what to do when
it happens. Show information on a PC screen, turn on
lights or lock doors.
EIRIS’s intuitive setup screens let you easily
configure complex rules that involve scenarios involving
combinations of inputs
and transmitters.
You can also tell
EIRIS to let you know when your network or wireless devices malfunction or
require service.
Tracking
Need
to find a life saving device quickly?
Where’s the patient that was sent to radiation
but never arrived?
Find what you’re looking for with an EIRIS client
or wireless PDA.
EIRIS continuously monitors the location of
wireless tags by processing the messages transmitted by
RFID tags and received
by any number of readers.
Inputs/Outputs
Monitor any number of sensor types including PIRs,
push buttons, IR beams, thermostats, pressure
gauges, smoke, flood and
glass-break detectors.
Tell EIRIS to sound buzzers, lock/open doors or
turn on/off electricity when an alert is triggered.
Access Control
Use EIRIS to enroll tags, assign access levels,
synchronize controllers or implement anti-pass-back logic.
EIRIS currently supports VT’s AXS-100 but other
Access Control solutions may be added by customizing
new EIRIS extensions.
CCTV
EIRIS will show you live video from the location
of an event on your EIRIS clients.
If the location is determined by a wireless tag,
then when the tag moves, the camera shown will
automatically change.
Network Configuration Tools
EIRIS provides intuitive tools for commissioning
your network hardware and enrolling components
into the EIRIS database.
EIRIS integrates tightly with LONTalk networks
and can use LON devices as sensors or actuators.
Other network protocols may be
easily supplemented by adding new EIRIS Extensions.
Included are tools for configuring: Input and
Output Devices, Wireless Transmitters, Receivers, Access Controllers/Readers,
Display Units, Keypads, Repeaters, Routers and Serial Interfaces (IP/UDP
Gateways, LON Gateways, COM ports etc.).
Reports
Create reports of alarms, tag movements or
Time-and-Attendance. Use the EIRIS Report Generator to
report on the time
care-providers spent with a patient or the amount of time a technician spent in
a lab.
With ERG you can select from a large number of
pre-defined reports or design your own.
Client / Server
Connect to the EIRIS server from any PC on the
network. Monitor alarms or setup the system from
anywhere by connecting to an
EIRIS server using Internet Protocol (TCPIP).
EIRIS lets you specify which alarms are sent to
each client. That way, each department will get only
the alarms that they need
to see.
Paging, SMS and Email Messaging
EIRIS can SMS an office manager of a break-in
attempt or email a low battery warning to the maintenance
department. EIRIS
communication package provides extensive tools for sending alarm information to
wherever it needs to go.
Use EIRIS Serial interfaces to send alarm
messages to almost any type of display unit.
Maps
Use maps to show the location of an alarm. Place
location points on digital maps so that when an
alarm occurs; a digital map is
displayed indicating the location of the event.
Drill down on maps to view greater detail or zoom
out to see a larger area.
In EIRIS, maps are also used to geographically
group network components. For example, in order to
close an alarm, a security
guard may be required to turn a key at the location of a panic alarm. Map
polygons are used to define these areas.
Arm/Disarm
Suspend a baby tag so that it can be moved out of
the delivery suite and setup EIRIS so that when the
tag is brought into the
Maternity ward, the tag is automatically activated again.
Change the status of a single input component or
an entire area of inputs. Later, the EIRIS Report
Generator will let you know
when the components were disarmed and by whom.
Escort
Let a mother out the nursery door with only her
baby using EIRIS’s matching feature. Create matches
between wireless tags and
proximity tags so that if a wireless (RFID) tag is attached to a laptop, but
the
owner presents his tag before approaching the exit, there will be no alarm.
Controllers
Achieve high availability for mission critical
application by distributing the control over multiple EIRISLight
controllers.
Use EIRIS’s data logging and client server features while leaving the
decision-making
and control to localized controllers. EIRIS synchronizes its database with
EIRISLight CE Controllers
and EIRISLight reports all events to
EIRIS via TCP/IP
Software Development Kit
Need an interface with your legacy system, the
sky’s the limit with the EIRIS SDK. Write your own
customized programs in VB,
.NET or C++. The SDK exposes all EIRIS events and database to your
application
so that you can customize your own user or system interfaces. Also write
drivers for new
protocols with the Enhanced SDK.
