Significant time is spent, during normal preventative maintenance of mobile assets, in searching for each device. This time is eliminated when the current location of each asset may be found in seconds.
Streamlines inventory
Reduce your capital investment by eliminating purchase of unneeded assets that are purchased or leased simply because existing inventory is lost or misplaced.
Monitors asset utilization
Refine the understanding of which assets are actually in use by monitoring movement. Reduce unnecessary inventory by eliminating unused assets.
Reduces asset shrinkage
Reduce shrinkage of assets by creating an alert when an attempt is made to remove a tagged asset from a designated area.
Reduces time to take inventory
A real-time inventory may be produced literally at the push of a button.
Enables billing for asset use
Today, charging for use of assets is based on manual records. The Elpas Tracking Solution provides
the necessary reports and database for use with billing systems.
Short ROI
Quoted from IDTechEx report.
"With the ability to track, locate and sense, Active RFID is being rapidly adopted around the World, often creating new markets. Many adopters have reported a rapid return on investment (ROI) of 12 to 18 months"

Features
Simple backend integration
Visonic Technologies’ EIRIS software can provide a simple to use development kit for sending location information to management systems and for receiving asset properties for classification of an Asset within the EIRIS database.
Smallest Active-RFID footprint available
The Elpas Asset Tracking tag is the smallest active asset tag in the industry. At
4 by 3cm (1.5 by 1.18 inches) an appropriate mounting surface may be found on almost any asset without electronic interfering with its operation.
Intuitive search tools
Using EIRIS tracking screens, searching for an asset is simple. Drill-down to find the specific asset type and display all such assets currently found within a specified area.
Powerful alert logic
EIRIS software provides powerful alerts that can be used to alert when an asset passes a specified area or when the number of assets exceeds or falls short of a specified quota for a given area.
Comprehensive reports
Produce reports indicating the time assets spent at specified areas and a history of every entry and exit to and from different areas in your facility.
Explicit Room location with Infra Red (IR)
Due to the nature of IR (it doesn’t pass through walls), only the Elpas asset tag, with IR transmission, can give you precise room location without the need to make complex triangulation analysis with UHF, that contain a high margin of error.
Insured portal detection
Only with LF technology, employed in Elpas tags, are you able to achieve both reliable and precise detection of an asset at an exit and at transition points between departments.
Continuous tracking and Lost alarms
Elpas tags emit periodic supervision messages so that an alert may be set to alarm should the system fail to hear from the asset. In systems that only communicate when tags are seen at ‘Gates’, an asset can easily be taken from the site with no one knowing.
Long life - replaceable battery
The Lithium battery in the Elpas Asset Tracking tag, can typically last more than 3 years. After this period, the battery may be replaced constantly extending the life of the tag.
Scalable infrastructure
The Elpas network of receivers and exciters can support thousands of networked devices and 10s of thousands of tags. This scalability is achievable due to the distributed intelligence and routing capabilities available in LON networks. In addition, thousands of 3rd party sensors and actuators may be added to the network enabling limitless integration possibilities.
Escort Assets using standard Access-Control cards
When integrating the Elpas tracking system with VisAccess Access Control, when a staff member presents his card at an exit, the system will allow him to pass an asset assigned to him and not another.
Tamper Sensor
The Elpas Asset Tag contains a sensor that alarms should an unauthorized attempt be made to remove the tag from the surface of the asset.
People tags available
Active Elpas Personnel tags are also available for applications such as hands free access control, hands-free asset escorting, locating critical staff members and panic alarm. The same infrastructure is used for both asset and personnel
tags.
