Dr. Avigdor (Avi) Shachrai has been President and CEO of the Visonic Group since July 2002, after serving as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Visonic Ltd. Dr. Shachrai has 30 years of experience in management, marketing and development of high technology companies. He has been a faculty member at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), as well as Vice President of Research and Development at Photon Sources (USA).
As President and CEO of MLI Lasers, he led the company through a highly successful IPO. Committed to a modern management style, Dr. Shachrai has inspired the entrepreneurial spirit that drives the Visonic Group towards its strategic objectives. Previously, as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Visonic Ltd, he spearheaded innovative marketing strategies that positioned Visonic as a leader in the security market. Dr. Shachrai holds a D.Sc. degree from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He has studied advanced business management at Tel-Aviv University, as well as mathematics and physics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. |
